My wife received her Dormeyer mixer, model SM-6, as a gift in 1962. She has loved that mixer all these years, and it has never failed her. Then, a few months ago, one of the beaters disappeared. We have no idea what happened but assume it went out with the trash.
We despaired of ever finding a replacement for such an old model but Googled around on the off chance we’d find one. What we noticed on your site was that the SM-13 beaters as pictured appeared to be exactly the same as her remaining beater. Knowing they couldn’t be returned if they didn’t fit, I decided to take a gamble and bought them, unbeknownst to my wife.
When they arrived, I nervously laid them next to our remaining one. I couldn’t see any difference, and when I gave them a test run, it was as though they had been made for her SM-6! I gave them to her as an early Christmas present, and she was so happy she cried. Best Christmas present ever!
